Please, do you think I'm going to let some silly game ruin my chances at galactic superiority?

— Lord Hater

To work his way up the Galactic Villain Leaderboard, Lord Hater plans to invade the forthcoming planet, but is distracted when he gets involved in Wander's game of tag. Trying to stay focused, Hater's involvement with the game worsens, and his obsession might come in handy.

Episode Summary[]

In Lord Hater's spaceship, the villain is having a conference with his watchdogs over the predicament with their position on the Galactic Villain Leaderboard. Currently, Lord Dominator is on top having gained control over a large number of planets in record time. Lord Hater believes that Peepers meant close to the top behind himself, but Peepers points out that they aren't even in the top 10 and are way below in 45th place with only one measly planet in their control. Peepers advises that in order for them to regain their reputation, they must focus on stealing planets from other villains so that they can climb their way back on top. Their first task will be capturing General Mcguffin's impenetrable fortress using an elaborate multi-part plan, so Peepers must have Hater's undivided attention. Hater does so but then Wander pops out of nowhere and tags Hater declaring that he's "it".

Peepers is alarmed at what Wander had done and covers his eye, waiting for the inevitable rage, but takes a peek and sees his leader calmly waiting for his plan. Confused, Peepers asks why he hasn't flipped out, and Hater replies that he won't let silly games distract him from conquering the galaxy. Glad to see that Hater is finally focused, Peepers begins to lay out his plan for breaking through the fortress defenses. Hater, however, is having a difficult time ignoring the spot that Wander touched and it grows into a maddening urge for him to tag someone. Hater sees a nearby watchdog and attempts to discreetly tag him until Wander declares that the conference table is home base, causing all the watchdogs to claim it. Hater tries to order a watchdog named Berry to remove his hand, but he refuses to do so, forcing Hater to make all the watchdogs remove their hands from the table by electrocuting it and tags one, but the watchdogs end up tagging each other in a circle causing Hater to be "it" again. Hater tries to tag the watchdog again, but Wander makes a rule of no repeating tags. Enraged and frustrated, Hater looks around for someone he hasn't tagged and sees only one person left: Commander Peepers. He sneaks up on him but gets caught before tagging him. He hastily leaves saying that he has to use the bathroom and Peepers looks outside, seeing his boss chasing after multiple watchdogs in a game of tag. He sighs dejectedly and asks the watchdogs to let Hater tag one of them for the sake of the mission, but they suggest that he should do it. He reluctantly does so after calling them "a bunch of babies".

Peepers goes up to Hater while he is chasing the watchdogs and volunteers himself to be tagged. Hater thanks him and tries to tag Peepers, but the commander unintentionally refuses to be tagged, not wanting to be "it". Peepers turns around, hoping that if he does not see himself being tagged, it will work. However, he bails out at the last moment, causing Hater to chase him all across the ship. Their chase ends up in the torture room and Peepers manages to freeze his boss completely in a block of Coldbonite, leaving only his tag finger which is wriggling constantly. Peepers decides to unfreeze him after completing the plan to capture Macguffin's base. After Peepers leaves Hater alone, Wander shows up and sits in front of the frozen conqueror, saying that he now has his undivided attention.

Peepers and a squad of watchdogs begin to infiltrate the fortress and stealthily make their way towards the force field generator to sabotage it. While they are at it, Wander irritates Hater with anger therapies like hobbies and sing-alongs, causing his rage to reach volcanic proportions, just enough to break free from his Coldbonite prison. With the game of tag still going, Wander runs away from Hater who has gone completely berserk and chases him outside the ship and towards the fortress. Peepers's squad reaches the control room and are about to bring down the shield until the alarms go off, and they discover that Hater tripped them while wildly chasing after Wander. Peepers and his team gets captured by General Mcguffin who, in his pajamas, demands to know what is going on. Wander pops up saying that Lord Hater's "it", causing the general to be wide eyed at the news about Hater, who promptly barges yelling to tag anyone in his path. In a panic, Macguffin orders his men a hasty retreat as they totally abandon the fortress. Peepers stares dumbly at this and thinks of a new devious plan: to use Hater's position as "it" to drive away the villainous competition.

A montage is shown of Peepers using Hater, who is still berserk, to chase away the other villains from their planets and taking the worlds for themselves. Planet after planet is conquered and Hater gains more and more pegs in his climb to the top of the leaderboard, until finally they reach the top 10. Peepers and the watchdogs celebrate their success with Hater, who was exhausted from his tag-induced rampage. In the moment of victory, Hater high-fives a nearby watchdog, unintentionally making him "it". The minion realizes the power he has now and leaves the watchdogs while screaming "I have the power!". In a few seconds, Hater's position on the leaderboard is overtaken by the newly tagged watchdog. Peepers sighs and says that he will start making plans to defeat their newest rival villain: Ted from accounting. At that moment, Wander begins a game of "got your nose" with Hater and causes him to chase him. Peepers argues that he doesn't have a nose, but Hater replies that that is because Wander obviously stole it just now. Peeper then sobs in defeat as his boss is once again distracted by Wander's antics and Sylvia comforts him, saying that "it's not going to be okay".
