(The Wandering Group is around a campfire. Wander is playing his banjo, and Maddie is quietly teaching herself cat's cradle with a piece of hair from Dan's mane. It snapped into two pieces right away. Maddie's eyes turn to slits, then back.)
Maddie: I HATE cat's cradle!
Shine: (hotly) Well, then, don't do it! (giggles innocently and turns back to Wander)
(Maddie glares at Shine, then picks another hair off Dan's mane)
Dan: OW!!
Maddie: (grits teeth) Oooh, sorry!
(Maddie starts playing cat's cradle all over again. She hated love, and would run away from it in a heart beat...well, if she could. Suddenly, she saw something shiny gleaming in the bushes. Something posssed Maddie to go towards it.)
Wander: Hey, Maddie...where you goin'?
(The whole Wandering Group turns and looks at her)
Maddie: Nowhere..I'm just...going..over here! Yeah..(flew away from the group and towards the object. She picked it up. It looked like a piece of emerald. Suddenly, she heard of scream of agony in the distance. The rest of the Wandering Group didn't hear it because Maddie was part griffon, and griffons have good hearing. Maddie flew above the trees, and towards the scream.)
