(Luka is sitting on a big rock swinging her legs. Maddie comes and greets her.)
Maddie: Hey, Luka! Why are you sitting here by yourself?
Luka: Oh, I'm just...thinking.
Maddie: About what?
(Shine comes and joins them)
Shine: Hey, guys! What are you talking about?
Luka: (quickly) Nothing! NOTHING!! I don't like anyone! (covers mouth)
Shine: What?
Luka: Nothing! (turns away)
Maddie: (studies Luka) You like someone?
Luka: (looks tough) Now...why would I like anyone? I really don't care about any of that stuff.
Shine: (quietly) Yeah, me neither...
Maddie: You like Scorpio, and we all know it. (turns back to Luka)
Shine: (shoots Maddie a "what the heck" look)
Maddie: Come on, spill the beans...who is it?
Luka: Maddie, I don't like anyone...at least...not like that.
Maddie: (turns to Shine) You know...when my brother came along...she looked at him strangely...(gasps)..that's it! (turns back to Luka) You like my brother, don't you?
Luka: (blushes) Comet? No way...
Maddie: Yes way!! Ask him out, already!
Luka: Maddie! (glares at Maddie) I told you, I don't like ANYONE!!
Maddie: You don't have to be ashamed to admit that you love someone.
(Shine looks at the ground. She thought of Scorpio, but then pushed all those thoughts out of her head)
Luka: (looks at Shine, then back at Maddie) Ok, I do like Comet, but I swear, Maddie, if you tell him, I will personally stick a knife in your liver.
Maddie: Ok, Luka...I won't tell him or anyone. (smiles)
Luka: (smiles back) Good...
Shine: Umm, sorry to interrupt, but..can we please change the subject?
Maddie: (turns and looks at Shine) Of coarse. (smiles. Maddie knew that Shine had some feeling for Scorpio, she just wasn't sharing those feelings)
